The Anjuman Institute of Management was established in the year 1996. The Karnataka Government has accorded sanction to this college and the Karnatak University, Dharwad, has granted affiliation. It was started in the Science block of Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce college. With the segregation of Pre-University section from that college, the Science block was occupied by Anjuman Junior's College and Anjuman Institute of Management Was shifted to Islamic Academy Building . With the construction of its own building, the college is now situated on an elevated hillock surrounded on three sides by the picturesque Western Ghats and facing the deep dancing waters of the Arabian Sea. One can have natural s beautiful panoramic view of the town and its surrounding from the campus of the college.

The cardinal objective of Anjuman Institute of Management is to impart value based quality managerial training. The future managers are fully equipped by the! Institute to confidently manage the turbulent complex and highly competitive modern environment in the global scenario.

The library of the Institute has a vast collection of Books, periodicals, national journals, publications, and Magazines. It is also equipped with a wide range of audio, video cassettes and CD-ROM's on management and related subjects. The library also has a vast collection of statistical data sources,

Project reports and annual reports of Companies. There is collection of important seminar papers, and original publications in the realm of management used by the students. The computer lab is well furnished with executive chairs. Faculty and students like having access to executive chairs. Faculty and students alike have access to latest research work carried out allover the world on various faculties. The computer lab is fully air-conditioned with uninterrupted power supply. A combination of healthy body and sound mind is the materials; the modern manager is made up of. The Institute lays greater emphasis on compulsory participation in sports and games to build the spirit of sportsmanship and competitiveness. Some of the best sports facilities badminton, basketball and tennis courts are housed in the campus. The campus also, has large playground for outdoor games, and sports. For over all personality development of the students, the Institution has taken initiative of arranging seminars, group Discussions, debates and conferences. The students are very busy throughout the year with full academic activities to boost the morale of the students. Competitions, seminars and conferences are arranged and students are trained to participate in such activities. Industrial tour is a part of the curriculum for students. These provide students with practical knowledge. They get fully equipped with weapons to face the dynamic turbulent global scenario. Every year industrial tours are arranged for providing practical inputs to the students. Each year an annual gathering is arranged where students present papers and experts are invited. Apart from the curricular activities extra-curricular activities like sports, picnics and tours are arranged. Students are trained throughout the year to participate in annual sports day organized by the institution. Prizes are distributed for all the students who are outstanding in different fields in the function.
