A Noble Mission

In 1919 a group of intellectuals with a vision and zeal established Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, a charitable education trust, aimed at imparting modern and religious education to the residents of Bhatkal and surrounding areas. "This journey of hundred’s of miles began with a single step" Education is the highway that leads to a nation and community’s progress and prosperity.

Years ago Sir Syed, the great visionary, provided inspiring leadership. This message rang far and wide, reverberating to a tiny, remote village called Bhatkal. Some of the enlightened village elders like Late: Janab M.M. Siddique, I.H. Siddique and F.A.Hassan Sahebs embraced Sir Syed’s vision and lit the village with the idea of starting a primary School. A handful of community men set up a trust Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen in 1919, with the mission to impart contemporary and religious education to the people of Bhatkal and near by villages Their commitment and efforts more than 80 years ago have borne fruit and paid rich dividends to the town. Started humbly as a primary school for boys, the institute was later upgraded into a high school by 1929. Over the years, this institution has been instrumental in grooming thousands of students from Bhatkal and nearby villages for the future. >> More
