About Bhatkal

Bhatkal is a small but thriving Uttara Kannada district town of Karnataka State situated on the west coast of India beside the lush green Shayadri hills of Western Ghat and its forest. Dotted with beautiful paln trees, green paddy fields, Bhatkal town has scenic backwaters in its vicinity and a natural sea beach.

Bhatkal being in the West Coast highway connecting Mumbai from the north and Kerela from the south is well serve by government and provate luxury and other buses from Bangalore, Mumbai, Calicut, Cochin etc. The scenic Kokarn Railway line connecting Mumbai to Mangalore passes through Bhatkal. The nearest airport is hardly three to four hours drive away in Mangalore and Goa. Bhatkal is 150 kms north of Mangalore.
